Delivery Driver

This position is responsible for daily deliveries to customer locations and warehouse support for the Rancho Cordova, CA location. The position will report to the Branch Manager.
Requirements
Represent Mitchell Lewis & Staver in a friendly, professional manner at all times when communicating with customers
Safely meet delivery schedules on designated routes
Load and unload products from delivery vehicles
Maintain fleet vehicles according to maintenance schedules including oil changes, cleaning, and general upkeep
Assist with Warehouse Operations at the direction of Branch Manager
Maintain accurate delivery log
Understand driving regulations of location
Maintain a clean and safe driving record
Perform other duties as required by supervisor
Experience Required:
2 to 3 years of experience driving a commercial flatbed truck preferred
Ability to operate a forklift, preferred
Competencies Required:

Detail oriented: identifies defects and ensures compliance with specifications
Communication: able to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively in written and oral forms to internal and external customers
Initiative: takes ownership of work without being asked
Organization: maintains a clean and orderly work area, informs supervisor of any defective or faulty equipment or material
Analysis & problem-solving: ability to work independently with little direction
Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
1-2 years of previous commercial driving experience
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for majority of shift
Ability to move products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds, including lifting, placing, pushing, and pulling
Valid driver’s license and have a driving record in good standing
Work Environment:
Operate a delivery truck, including loading and unloading trucks: outdoors, indoor work while speaking with customers, making deliveries pulling product and staging for delivery
Are often exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures when working outdoors
This position is not eligible for telework
