Job Description
Linwood Pet Hospital is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 4-6-month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER position following mentorship.
who enjoys soft tissue surgery already or who would be excited to train with our on-site Surgeon, Dr. Dave Diefenderfer, who taught at U Penn. We also offer the opportunity to collaborate on-site with our boarded Radiologist and Cardiologist. And, as part of the Ethos Veterinary Health network, Linwood Pet Hospital consults and refers to multiple additional specialists at Red Bank Veterinary Hospitals in Tinton Falls and Mount Laurel.
The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program
The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.
The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.
Program Duration/Commitment
* 4-6 month training program - Start date is flexible * 18 month commitment as an ER clinician at Linwood Pet Hospital following the completion of the mentorship training program

* 3-day work week * Rotate with other specialty services during the training program * Surgical training offered * Always work with a dedicated mentor on shifts * Competency-based curriculum that includes asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds * Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors
