Liver Transplant Anesthesiologist - Assistant Professor

The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Prior experience in liver transplant anesthesiology is strongly preferred. ABA certification in anesthesiology or status as a candidate in the examination system along with ability to obtain a Pennsylvania license are required.
Teaching responsibilities may include the instruction and/or supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows rotating through the operating rooms and wards of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) and the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC) as well as participation in lectures, small groups, workshops, and/or simulation sessions.
Clinical responsibilities may include the provision of general and liver transplant anesthesia services at HUP and PPMC.
