Job Description:
What You’ll Do
Discover is seeking an energetic, detailed oriented, and analytical Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) Senior Analyst to join our GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) Operational Excellence team. This role will report to the Senior Manager and partner with key business stakeholders and other risk program owners. This exciting opportunity will assist in the execution of the RCSA program across Discover Financial Services (DFS) and be responsible for working with the GRC system supporting documentation and training. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for supporting the quality assurance activities within the GRC system to ensure RCSA records meet enterprise standards of completeness and accuracy.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced, evolving environment, and have functional knowledge of applicable best practices and regulatory expectations for Operational Risk. Familiarity with the financial services regulatory environment, risk and control identification / assessment, firmwide implementation of operational risk processes, and GRC systems of records is essential. Knowledge of consumer lending processes is plus.
Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
How You’ll Do It
Implement and oversee the RCSA program, including the annual attestation, effective challenge, process management, and reporting. Leverage company policy, standards, and procedures to ensure the RCSA program is executed in accordance with the ORM framework.
Develop and maintain ORM taxonomies, tools, and methodologies to support accurate assessment of risks and control environment.
Serve as a SME for the 1st Line of Defense, supporting proper identification of operational risks and establishing adequate control environment.
Assist in the development of training, communication, and awareness programs to drive effective RCSA program adoption and promote a strong culture of risk management.
Qualifications You’ll Need
The Basics:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, Computer Science, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience developing/management RCSA for Financial Institutions.
5+ years of knowledge of banking products, processes, and regulations.
5+ years of previous experience with GRC tools (e.g., Archer, etc.).
5+ years of experience in proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

5+ years of experience mapping complex processes and identifying control points.
5+ years of experience with implementation or improvements of risk assessment processes and methodologies.
5+ years of knowledge of Consumer Lending products and processes.
5+ years of knowledge of Tableau or similar visual analytics tools.

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $88,500.00 to $149,300.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package.
