Essential Job DutiesThe incumbent will assist with various extension and outreach initiatives of the NC State Apiculture Program, including (but not limited to) the Beekeeper Education & Engagement System (BEES) and associated BEES Academies, the Queen & Disease Clinic, extension writing, and beekeeper relief from hurricane Helene. The incumbent will also assist with logistical support of a summer research internship (BeeMORE) to help advertise, recruit, facilitate, and coordinate participant travel and research. Assistance in some beekeeping field work may be inherent to the position but does not constitute a significant proportion of the effort.
Work Schedule:N ormal work schedule will be five (5) days per week for eight (8) hours per day. Flexibility in schedule, however, is necessary for the position. Many projects necessitate, for example, longer hours for a given day or working on weekends.
