Summary:As a Clinical Nurse Leader, you will oversee and guide a dedicated team in delivering high-quality nursing care. Under the supervision of the Nursing Director, you will plan, delegate, and direct comprehensive patient care while also serving as a clinical resource. This position requires the expertise and responsibilities of a Clinical II nurse.Responsibilities:Coordinate and monitor the activities of unit personnel to guarantee that patients receive optimal care and that daily goals are achieved.Conduct thorough patient assessments, ensuring appropriate care plans and staff assignments.Provide updates to the Nursing Director regarding critically ill patients and any unusual events.Enhance productivity by evaluating daily workloads and efficiently utilizing nursing personnel.Adjust staff assignments as necessary due to unexpected absences or special patient needs.Support the Nursing Director by arranging staff replacements and overtime to manage unusual demands stemming from patient volume or acuity.Nursing Process:Exhibit proficient competency in all key functions outlined in the Registered Nurse Clinical II position.Communications:Foster and maintain positive communication with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare providers to enhance collaboration and relationships across the hospital.Work with the Nursing Director to create effective staff schedules for your assigned shift.Report attendance and punctuality issues to the Nursing Director.Contribute insights for performance evaluations.Immediately raise any online occurrence reports to the Nursing Director or Administrative Coordinator.Engage with Nursing Directors and/or Administrative Coordinators to solve complex clinical and administrative challenges.Other information:Applicants must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Rhode Island from the Rhode Island Board of Nursing or possess licensure per the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement.Qualifications:Graduate from an accredited nursing school with a license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Rhode Island.Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in an acute healthcare setting.Current CPR Certification.ACLS certification required within the first six months of employment, except for BHU and Rehab Nursing roles.Brown University Health is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer, and all qualified applicants will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, ancestry, genetics, gender identity or expression, disability, protected veteran status, or marital status.Location: Newport Hospital, USA:RI:NewportWork Type:
