LinQuest is seeking a Software Engineer with strong C++ skills to support mission-level modeling and simulation efforts in Albuquerque, NM. An active Secret clearance is required.As a Software Engineer, you will provide technical and project support working in a collaborative small team environment. This role will collaborate with the project and systems engineering leads to lead the integration effort of different software, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) applications and Mod-Sim tools in the production of a digital engineering product. The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and integrating the Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) tools and supporting frameworks.This work will drive the development and refinement of test-bedding future DE and HPM systems by producing a software based Digital Engineering product. The Digital Engineering product will provide end-to-end analyses by integrating MBSE tools with external MS&A tools to rapidly create and evaluate future Directed Energy (DE) systems.Responsibilities:Perform software design and development in C++Collaborate with customers, systems engineers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate requirements into the software development efforts.Enable mission-level modeling, simulation and analysis using Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) and other physics-based models.Work with Systems Engineers to integrate MS&A tools (Matlab, Python, CMD) into product suite and automate analyses.Define and analyze directed energy system missions and evaluating mission capabilities/performance for various scenarios and vignettes.Collaborate with a range of organizations and customers to obtain necessary authoritative data, analytic techniques, and assumptions so that results from the above activities remain consistent with the general analytic community.Work in an AGILE R&D environment.
Required Skills and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences or other related degree5+ years of engineering experience5+ years of programming experience with C++, Python, MatlabExperience with MS&A tools.General knowledge of other software programming frameworks and databases and the ability to apply that knowledge to the software domain.Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination and task execution.Active Secret security clearance (or equivalent)
