Seeking energetic, enthusiastic and patient individuals to work as a Behavior Intervention Staff or Paraprofessionals at our Streamwood campus. Must possess valid Paraprofessional Professional Educator License (PEL) in the state of Illinois.
Essential Functions:
This work involves close interaction with staff, students, and administration, with primary emphasis on the implementation of educational, behavioral and social/emotional programs for each student that will enable them to reach their fullest educational potential, while building their self-esteem. A Behavior Intervention Staff member or Paraprofessional works under the direction of Classroom Teachers, the Principal and Clinical Director. An employee in this position is expected to exercise independent judgment, discretion, a high degree of confidentiality and react appropriately in escalated situations. Behavior Intervention Staff and Paraprofessionals are expected to exhibit initiative, creativity, and above all patience.
