Department Nursing Job Purpose
The Department of Nursing seeks qualified adjunct faculty to teach in its graduate Nurse Anesthesia Program.
Essential Duties
* Adjunct faculty function in the clinical and classroom settings and are expected to prepare course materials, provide support and guidance to students; report grades and uphold the policies of the Department of Nursing and The University of Scranton
Additional Skills Required
* Current, valid unencumbered PA, NY, or NJ nursing license * Current certification/recertification as certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) * Current member of AANA * Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Minimum Education Requirements
* Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia, Nursing, Education, or other higher education degree preferred but not required * Graduate degree in Nurse Anesthesia specialty
Preferred Education Minimum Job Experience Requirements
* Experiences should include developing curricular materials and teaching nurse anesthesia students in both clinical and classroom settings
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous teaching experience in an academic nursing program or clinical setting preferred * Two vs Three years current experience in clinical practice as nurse anesthetist * Evidence of or potential for excellence in teaching, mentoring, and engaging diverse students
