Job Summary:
Provides non-emergent medical transport for patients discharged from inpatient care to discharge destination. Utilizes necessary medical equipment to maintain patient care and status during transport. Safely delivers patients to discharge destination and communicates effectively between facilities. Provides emergent medical care when needed within BLS guidelines. Communicates with the medical care facility receiving the patient about the patient's condition, status, and arrival time.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:
High School Diploma/GED required Emergency Medical Technician- Basic Certification or Paramedic by the Kentucky Board of EMS required Valid Kentucky Motor Vehicle Operator's License Required Valid Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) through the American Heart Association required Other certifications and specialty training as required by the Kentucky Board of EMS
