Within MITREs Intelligence Center the Strategy and Policy Department has the mission to enhance our sponsors policy formulation, planning, and strategy execution across the national security enterprise through all-source intelligence and resource analysis that informs decision-making to address threats in an era of strategic competition. The Department is accountable and responsible for programs with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (OUSD I&S), and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). The Strategy and Policy Department is seeking an enthusiastic and driven early career Full Stack Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and grow, taking on the responsibility of designing and developing software solutions across various technology stacks. This role requires a foundational understanding of both front-end and back-end programming. As an early career Full Stack Developer, you will be expected to actively engage in a collaborative environment, contributing to problem-solving discussions and learning from your peers. You should have passion for building end-to-end solutions for real-world problems and an innate curiosity and an inclination for solving complex problems with open-ended tasking. Roles and Responsibilities: In this role, you will work with a team to develop front-end and back-end scalable software solutions supporting Intelligence Community challenges. As a member of the MITRE team you will be developing and designing web architectures, working with databases, and ensuring the responsiveness of applications, among other duties. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will: Support the development and deployment of applications to address sponsor challenges, with a willingness to adapt and learn. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Translate user requirements into robust, scalable, and efficient code. Present your solutions in a clear and user-friendly manner that can be understood by your teammates and associates, regardless of technical expertise. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science or computer engineering or similar field and 3 years of experience Active TS/SCI with a FS poly. Experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role. Basic knowledge and understanding about front-end and back-end languages (e.g. JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java). Basic knowledge and understanding of at least one web framework (e.g. Vue, React, etc.). Basic knowledge of server-side languages and database technologies. Basic knowledge of writing SQL statements. Basic knowledge and experience working with CSS frameworks (e.g. Material Bootstrap, Tailwind, etc.) Novice experiences working within a Linux based environment. Knowledge of code repository tools and IDEs. This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site. Preferred Qualifications: 3 years of experience in a technical arena and a minimum of 1 year of Full Stack Development experience.
