UX/UI Developer

UX/UI Developer Houston, TX Open to Remote Contract $42/hr - $46/hr Our client, an American energy company, is actively looking for a UX/UI Developer to join their UX/UI development team This role is fully remote. This is a 6 month initial contract position with the opportunity to extend or convert This UX/UI Developer will develop user interfaces for websites including mobile from the ground up. The ideal candidate will understand the intricacies of cross-browser development and knows how to build simple interfaces by writing maintainable HTML, CSS, and advanced Javascript Responsibilities Develop mobile and cross-browser compatible responsive front end interfaces using: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Jquery and frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation Design and develop solutions using a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design Design, code the markup, conduct user testing, and perform other user-facing activities to validate the design and interaction Lead new user interface designs through the full design and development cycle (including concepts, information architecture, visual design, and interaction design) Create and apply brand frameworks within product lines and across the entire portfolio, ensuring a cohesive brand experience for customers Create, maintain, and improve a Standard Style Guide and interaction pattern library for the team Required Skills & Experience Bachelors degree in a relevant technical field and/or equivalent work experience 3 years of hands-on front end/UXUI development experience Expert literacy in front end development (particularly around responsive design, designing across multiple channels and browser types) Strong experience writing standards-compliant front end code for websites, web applications, and mobile solutions using HTML, CSS, and Javascript Hands-on experience with AngularJS, NodeJS, AJAX, REST, JSON, AND XML Must have a strong portfolio of work showing experience developing standards-compliant front end code for marketing websites, web applications, and/or mobile experiences You will receive the following benefits: Medical Insurance - Four medical plans to choose from for you and your family Dental & Orthodontia Benefits Vision Benefits Health Savings Account (HSA) Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts Voluntary Life Insurance, Long-Term & Short-Term Disability Insurance Hospital Indemnity Insurance 401(k) including match with pre and post-tax options Paid Sick Time Leave Legal and Identity Protection Plans Pre-tax Commuter Benefit 529 College Saver Plan Motion Recruitment Partners (MRP) is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including Veterans/Disability/Women.
