IT Systems Engineer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an IT Engineer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier clients in RTP, NC. Hybrid work model preferred - RTP Office This position is primarily responsible for the management of a large shared service responsible for delivering virtual machines for client's engineering teams. Main hypervisor used is VMWare but any additional hypervisor knowledge is welcome as well. Responsibilities will include but not limited to: Managing supported Operating system templates to ensure they are hardened and patched regularly Experience with Ansible a plus Help resolve incidents and participate in small technical projects to help users and keep the service running. Some scripting or automation of tasks Required Skills : Deep understanding of hypervisors. VMware preferred but others considered as well Strong technical skills in linux or windows and a working knowledge of the other bility to communicate and support end-users to effectively work through reported issues bility to communicate effectively and collaborate with technical staff Excellent verbal and written communication skills nalytical approach to finding the root cause degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
