Certification Details BLS - Basic Life Support (Always required) NIH Stroke Certification (Required due to stroke patient care) Job Details Specialty: Registered Nurse Job Description: RN/Medical Surgical-Neuro Full-time role with options for 36 or 48 hour weeks over 13 weeks or 26 weeks Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of experience, with first-timers also welcome On-call requirement: No Floating required within service line to meet facility needs Block schedule not accommodated Job Requirements Patient Diagnoses include General Neurological and neuromuscular disorders, MS, ALS, GBS, Stroke, Epilepsy, infections, tumors etc. Experience with Special Procedures/Unit Details such as LP, Lumbar drains, Foley, IV Starts, G-Tubes, tracheostomies is desirable Special Equipment familiarity required: Bladder Ultrasound Schedule Information Expected to work every other weekend Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks with the stipulation that cancelled shifts must match regular shift length Unit Specific Information Ratios: 1:4-5 Additional Details Level I/Teaching experience preferred but not required Pending License accepted RTO Restrictions: No more than 7 days Locals not accepted with a local radius rule of at least 75 miles from facility
