Employee designs, tests, and implements systems and performs modifications to existing computer applications. Performs related duties as required. YOUR ROLE The Computer Systems Analyst for the Cincinnati Park Board is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the department's hardware systems across all park locations. This position requires a hands-on approach, with the flexibility to visit different sites and provide in-field support to staff when needed. Key responsibilities include evaluating, installing, and upgrading hardware components to ensure optimal performance, troubleshooting issues, overseeing inventory, and coordinating repairs or replacements. This is the lead position for Parks IT and requires a highly organized and strategic approach to ensuring adherence to all city IT policies and procedures, safety protocols, and asset tracking and procurement requirements. The analyst will also work closely with IT staff and vendors to implement best practices, ensuring system reliability, security, and efficiency. Additionally, they will provide technical support and training to end-users, reducing downtime and improving productivity across the department. This position is responsible for IT project management, scheduling, supervision of IT personnel, and all reporting requirements, among other duties. The position requires someone who is organized, and professional, and can troubleshoot problems, define solutions, and follow through to implementation. Frequent meetings within Parks as well as with other City agencies including the City's Enterprise Technology group are an essential part of the job, therefore establishing and maintaining communication and relationships are key components. The selected person should expect to be in an office setting at least 50% of the time. This position is also responsible for ensuring all Parks' technology is sufficiently protected, employees adhere to security protocols, and monitors, reports, and provides appropriate intervention on any potential threats. The analyst will provide periodic training to Parks' staff on proper handling and operation of IT equipment and is responsible for strategic planning of Parks' IT technology in collaboration with the Division Manager, Deputy Director, and Director. We're looking for someone eager to get out into the field and assist our teams on-site, ensuring our technology supports the essential work happening throughout the Parks system.
