Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions. Summary The Senior Power BI Developer will take a leadership role in developing and managing complex data visualizations, dashboards, and analytical solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and ensure data models are optimized for performance, scalability, and accuracy. This role is crucial in advancing our business intelligence capabilities and enabling key stakeholders to make informed decisions based on reliable data insights. Responsibilities: Advanced Report Development: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex Power BI reports and dashboards, incorporating advanced DAX calculations and performance optimization techniques. Strategic Data Integration: Collaborate closely with data engineers and architects to integrate, transform, and optimize data from multiple sources, ensuring high accuracy, security, and performance. Data Modeling Leadership: Develop and optimize data models that drive efficient, scalable reporting and analysis, including handling large and complex datasets across the organization. Stakeholder Management: Work with senior stakeholders, including department heads and executive leadership, to gather requirements, deliver insights, and propose BI solutions that align with strategic business objectives. Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and refine reports and dashboards to improve speed and user experience, identifying and resolving bottlenecks. Documentation and Best Practices: Establish and maintain clear documentation for BI processes, data models, and reporting standards, driving adherence to best practices and compliance with industry regulations. Mentorship: lead and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior Power BI developers, fostering growth and ensuring the team's adherence to best practices in BI development. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and techniques in data visualization and analytics, proposing and implementing enhancements to the organization's BI capabilities. Education/Experience/Skills Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. 5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development, data visualization, and business intelligence, with proven success in delivering advanced analytical solutions in a complex environment, preferably in a clinical laboratory or healthcare environment. Expert-level proficiency with Power BI, including Power BI Desktop, Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service. Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation. Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. Strong command of data visualization, modeling, and transformation techniques, with the ability to work with large datasets efficiently. Knowledge of Python, R, or other data analysis tools is a plus. Proven ability to lead BI projects, manage stakeholder expectations, and mentor junior team members. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to break down complex problems and propose effective solutions. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional BI projects. Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and lead BI initiatives to successful completion. Familiarity with laboratory, healthcare, or highly regulated environments is a plus, including knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP).
