Embedded Software Engineer will be working for a leading technology developer of advanced and innovative wireless power system solutions in exciting emerging markets and new applications. Responsibilities include the following: Write source code, test and validate embedded software for wireless charging systems as well as communication interfaces such as BLE, NFC, CAN, RS-485, WiFi, etc. Develop and validate prototypes to prove out key design concepts and quantify technical constraints. Work with multidisciplinary teams of design, test and production engineers to help manufacture and bring products to market. Create and maintain technical documentation such as application notes and data sheets. Duties require a qualified candidate have strong software design and development skills; possess Analog and Power circuit understanding with knowledge of Digital design; an understanding of design for fault tolerance and reliability; experience with schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium Designer; an ability to engage directly with customers and interact with global field application engineering staff for creating design solutions and troubleshooting system design problems; strong problem-solving skills - self-starter driving problems to resolution; strong communication skills (written and verbal); and strong work ethic with willingness to learn and share ideas. Position requires knowledge and experience with prototype development, bring-up, debugging and functional verification. A proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, electronic loads, spectrum/network analyzers and other common lab instruments is also needed. An individual must also have the ability to use soldering equipment and have knowledge of hand assembly with SMT devices. Requires a qualified candidate to have a Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering; a qualified candidate must also have three (3) years of professional experience developing embedded software for power supply or wireless charging systems; three (3) years of experience implementing communication interfaces over I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, LIN, USB, USB-PD, BLE or similar and in C/C++, embedded firmware development and real-time operating systems.
