Your Role:

The VP of Finance serves as a strategic advisor to the President & CEO and executive team, stewarding SCPR's financial health and ensuring long-term sustainability. This role will oversee key financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while ensuring full compliance with regulatoryrequirements and industry standards. The VP will implement effective risk management strategies and drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. Additionally, they will lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the department. This position is crucial in shaping SCPR's financial strategy and supporting its mission through sound fiscal management and forward-thinking financial planning.

Collaborates with the SCPR executive team to develop and implement strategic and business plans, ensuring the achievement of established goals. Engages with the Board of Trustees to provide expert guidance on managementpractices and strategic direction, facilitating informed decision-making and organizational growth.

Collaborates with the Corporate Finance & Accounting team and APMG Chief Financial Officer to ensure timely and transparent financial and management reporting, simplified transactional accounting processes, adequate liquidity, and sharing of best practices.

The VP of Finance manages the relationships with its constituent organizations, vendors and partners.In coordination with executive management, this role will establish SCPR's strategic priorities, goals, and objectives.The role will lead business planning for new earned income opportunities that will support sustainable growth for SCPR's multi-platform programming activities.The VP of Finance will also support the organization's strategic alliances and actively monitor SCPR's contractual arrangements.The person will engage with the Board of Trustees to provide guidance on management and strategic direction.

Expected Compensation Range:

$175,000 - $220,000, annualized.The exact salary is determined by experience and education related to the role, organizational compensation structure, and internal equity.

Position Responsibility

Financial Leadership

In coordination with the SCPR President & CEO, provide vision, ideas and approaches for achieving the strategic and business goals for SCPR.Champions financial transparency and data-informed decision-making across the organization, building the organization's financial acumen and a culture of financial stewardship and accountability.Proactively works to ensure effective collaboration and communication and overall alignment with SCPRs strategic objectives.Coordinate the development of SCPR's long range and annual (business and strategic) plans.Coordinate development of operating and capital budgets according to the budget calendar; monitors monthly and other financial statements for SCPR; takes effective corrective action as required.Oversee contract negotiation and management; and liaison with APMG shared services.Analyze financial statements, and establishes controls to safeguard Review income and costs relative to goals; take corrective action as necessary.Regularly advise SCPR executive management and APMG financial leadership and other key members of senior management on financial planning budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.Board Relations

Actively participates in meetings of the SCPR's Board of Trustees and responsible for the corresponding Board Reports.Serve as the primary SCPR officer to the board finance committee; effectively communicate and present critical financial matters at select board of directors and committee meetings.People Leadership

Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience.15+ years of progressively higher work experience in Finance or Accounting.Minimum 10+ years' experience at the supervisory or management level.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Experience with multiple divisions/locations.Experience either as an employee or board member of a nonprofit organization; must be familiar with nonprofit finance and accounting regulations.Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization.Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Strong mentoring and coaching experience to manage a team with diverse levels of expertise.Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker.Business planning and modeling experience for new programs, products and/or services.Must be able to synthesize complex ideas and activities into coherent and compelling narratives.Ability to handle ambiguity and figure out initial steps to take in an ambiguous environment.Knowledge of online revenue and business models.Ability to manage projects with higher risk profiles.Strong negotiation skills.Preferred Skills and Experience:

Master's in business administration.Ability to honor a high degree of confidentiality.Discretion is a must.Previous media/broadcast organizational experience.Reporting To This Position: SCPR Finance Department.
