Drum Filling OperatorJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Drum Filling Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for filling product into drums and totes, ensuring accurate filling, proper handling, and safe transportation of materials. This role requires the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment, with a focus on safety, quality, and operational standards.Job DescriptionFill products into drums and totes, using both automated drumming stations and manual scales as required.Pump products from storage tanks, production vessels, or tankers into containers; transfer finished materials through pipes and hoses with pumps.Continuously monitor scales, controls, and systems to ensure accurate filling and adherence to specifications.Prepare and organize packages for shipping, ensuring all products are clean, properly labeled, and in compliance with shipping requirements.Enter batch confirmations into SAP system accurately and timely.Follow all safety protocols, including company safety rules, to ensure a safe working environment. Actively promote and enforce safety practices within the team.Maintain a clean and orderly work area, complete daily housekeeping duties, and ensure all equipment is in good condition before use.Conduct visual inspections of equipment to determine operational status before and after use. Clean vessels, pumps, and process lines to prevent contamination.Move materials using a forklift as necessary.Participate as a team member on the emergency crew for emergency response situations.Notify the supervisor or team leader of any irregularities or issues requiring attention to maintain operational efficiency and safety.Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring adherence to manufacturing standards, quality, and customer satisfaction.Skills RequiredStrong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.Basic computer skills, including familiarity with SAP or similar systems.Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment.Familiarity with safety regulations and equipment.Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work in various temperatures, including indoor and outdoor environments.Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.Education/Certification/TrainingHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.Technical training or certifications in manufacturing processes, safety, or forklift operation is a plus.Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments preferred, with hands-on experience in filling, material handling, or similar duties.Additional DetailsThis position requires the ability to work in a production environment, including standing for long periods, handling materials, and working with automated and manual equipment.Must be available to work on weekends and holidays as necessary.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
