Overview
Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of SVP, Senior Director Loan Operations. Primary Function: Successfully lead Loan Operations including loan underwriting, processing, and servicing for the Consumer, Real Estate, and Commercial lines of business.Responsibilities
Recommendation and development of consumer, real estate, and business loan programs, including products, pricing, systems, and delivery channels.Implement and monitor loan programs to ensure competitiveness and achieve credit union member satisfaction, growth, and asset quality goals.Monitor industry trends and maintains current knowledge of applicable market and industry developments, compliance, and regulatory requirements.Manage the loan portfolio to maintain the required risk/reward balance necessary to achieve budgeted growth and interest income. Make recommendations, when appropriate, to optimize the loan portfolio consistent with these objectivesMaintain the required knowledge and understanding of the secondary market to ensure loans are sold at appropriate levels and prices.Create, develop, recommend, administer, and monitor lending policies and guidelines and ensures compliance with these policies and guidelines as well as with all applicable rules, regulations, and laws.Prepare the departmental budget and participates in the strategic planning process, including but not limited to growth projections and asset quality and operational expenses for executive management approval. Implements strategic plans and budgets. Ensure measurable outcomes are achieved.Collaborate in the development, execution, and monitor all lending-related member contact strategies to support the strategic imperative that acknowledges the importance of deepening member relationships. Support the ease, consistency, and convenience of loan services, resulting in a positive member experience. Ensure the timely resolution of member complaints.Establish departmental human resources development and succession plans to ensure managerial depth within the areas of lending as well as outstanding service to internal and external members.Review Credit Union processes within scope of responsibility for enhancement and efficiencies that support LEAN operational improvements.Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.Embrace and apply HVCU's guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities.
