Job description Key Responsibilities: ETL Development: Develop, test, and optimize ETL processes using Teradata tools (e.g., Teradata Data Mover, BTEQ, TPT) to ensure efficient data loading and transformation. Data Modeling: Collaborate with data architects to create logical and physical data models that meet business requirements and ensure data integrity. SQL Development: Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading. Optimize queries for performance and scalability. Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of migrated data. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data analysts, and system administrators, to gather requirements and provide technical insights. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of ETL processes, data flows, and data mapping for future reference and compliance. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to data migration, performance, and system integration. Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize Teradata performance for query execution and ETL processes. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in Teradata development, specifically in data migration projects. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Teradata SQL, ETL tools, and data modeling concepts. Familiarity with Teradata utilities such as BTEQ, TPT, FastLoad, and MultiLoad. Experience with data warehousing concepts and methodologies. Understanding of telecommunications data models and business processes is a plus. Tools & Technologies: Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud-based Teradata solutions (e.g., Teradata Vantage). Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools. Relevant certifications (e.g., Teradata Certified Professional) are a plus.
