The OR Transporter transports patients, equipment, supplies and other items throughout the hospital in a safe and timely manner. Assists in the mobilization/transports of patient's/visitors in reaching destination through the hospital and upon discharge. Follows all patient / visitor protocols. Ensures that requests for information and services are accurately responded to, in a timely and appropriate manner, sensitive to the circumstances of the patient's/guest's emotional situation and privacy needs. Ensures cleanliness of patient transport equipment.Foothill Regional Medical Center is a fully accredited acute care hospital, licensed for 177 beds120 beds for general acute care, 15 intensive care beds and 42 pediatric sub-acute beds. Our pediatric sub-acute unit, just one of six in California, serves patients from throughout the state. We care for patients up to 21 years of age who need long-term sub-acute care including ventilator care and nutritional support.

Demonstrates appropriate use of independent judgement and decision making. Demonstrates excellent customer service at all times.Ensures equipment is in proper working order; cleans and disinfects as needed or required. Maintains inventory and records of equipment. Delivers, retrieves, and properly returns equipment to storage, keeping work area clean and organized, and traffic pathways clear.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or EquivalentMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobAHA Basic Life SupportMust be able to read, write and communicate effectively in EnglishHospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only)Preferred Qualifications:Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and familiesPrevious patient transport experiencePay Rate: Min - $20.00 | Max - $27.61
