Position : NG911 Cyber Security Assessment and Migration Engineer Location: 2 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, NY 11201 Duration: 6 to 12 months Working hours: Daily 7 hrs- the consultant must request overtime in the client's timekeeping system, and the project manager must approve those hours worked above the weekly maximum. SCOPE OF SERVICES: Consolidate the ENS and Rapid7 capability into the Vulnerability Management (VM) program. Ensure Public Safety VM program is positioned to support the NG9-1-1 system, manage the primary interface between McAfee Team and the various Agency Support Groups via weekly Endpoint Committee meetings Support the ELCS program through inclusion to the VM program, manage initial VM scanning and generate report to support ECLS. Support Public Safety Infosec NG9-1-1 with participation and presentation at bi-weekly PSR program meetings/updates. Participate in meetings for Class 1, 2, and 3 of SRR, PDR, and CDR. Participate in the development of capital deliverables for Class 1, 2, 3, and Call Handling. Coordinate and obtain executive support for the integration of appropriate security solutions to the NG9-1-1 system. MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered Minimum 12 years of experience in a particular technical and/or business application, product, platform, methodology or skill set. Experience with Cybersecurity, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, security assessments, strategy and program development, network architecture designs, and monitoring solutions. Extensive experience in the following technology areas: Public Safety systems, Quality Assurance, Systems Design, Development, Integration and Testing DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Experience with Cybersecurity standards and best practices and how to integrate them. Strong background with next generation firewall products, intrusion detection systems, DMZ, IPSec, DNS, SMTP, HTTP proxies, etc Knowledge of security best practices across multiple platforms, such as Microsoft Windows, WMWare, Cisco IOS, and Mobile OS Android/Apple IOS. Knowledge of security best practices: NIST, CIS, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Microsoft, Unix/Linux, etc. Experience with evaluating security vulnerabilities, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing remediation. Experience with at least two of the following vulnerability management tools: Rapid7, Tenable, Qualys, OpenVAS.
