What will the Back-End Senior Software Development Engineer in Test do? The Back-End Senior SDET position is responsible for ensuring product quality and functionality across assigned projects that support the CertiPath TrustSuite product family. Those responsibilities include test planning and design, preparing test execution, conducting tests, implementing test automation, and tracking/reporting identified issues in alignment with all applicable standards and requirements. Note: This is a hybrid position. The Back-End SDET will be on site 2 days a week in Reston, Va. What does a typical day look like for the Back-End Senior Software Development Engineer in Test? The person in this position will do the following: Be responsible for functional and system testing and automation for TrustSuite product components that result in an outstanding level of product quality. Work with the Manager of Product Quality and the Product and Development teams to review functional requirements for new features. Participate in planning, sizing, and scheduling for Epic/Stories. Prepare the corresponding feature Test Plan with detailed test cases, test environments, and test data sets. Own and be responsible for assigned features for both manual testing and automation development. Accomplish the necessary product test schedules, coverage, and quality goals. Participate in the implementation of automated test cases on the QA Automation test platform. Provide timely project status reports with appropriate quality metrics and test tracking information. Analyze customer issues for root causes and close test gaps as you strive to deliver the highest quality to end users. What does the growth potential look like for this position? The Back-End SDET role may lead to a Test Automation Lead or QA Manager role. With enough company growth, the potential is limitless. What qualifications do you look for? You might be the Back-End Senior SDET we're looking for if you have: U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a government clearance (or you recently held one) A bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information systems, engineering, or another related scientific or technical discipline (or equivalent experience) 5 years of SDET testing experience in a Windows environment 3 years of experience developing API automation and test utilities in Windows, C#, .NET, and PowerShell Good knowledge of: REST API and tool automation development in C#, .NET, and PowerShell on Windows Test automation frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, and MSTest Test automation with Jenkins on Windows workers; PowerShell scripting SQL, including writing queries to analyze DB data (SQL Server preferred) JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket (Git), and Zephyr tools. Familiarity with IP networking and security We're extra impressed by folks with: Experience working with public key infrastructure (PKI) standards and/or physical access control system (PACS) technologies Experience working with secure SDLC technologies and DevSecOps methodologies Advanced certifications in Agile methodologies, automation design and architecture, information security, or cybersecurity What kind of benefits does CertiPath offer?
