Role Summary: The IT Manager is a key leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's IT functions, including security, infrastructure, and support. This role requires a strategic thinker who can align IT initiatives with business objectives, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability of IT systems. The IT Manager will lead a team dedicated to maintaining the highest levels of customer uptime, ensuring robust cybersecurity measures, and driving innovative IT solutions that enhance the companys operational efficiency and support its growth. Scope of the Position: The IT Manager will manage the IT operations for Wilson Lumber Company and related entities. This role involves direct oversight of a IT team (3-4 personnel) and close collaboration with external IT partners to ensure seamless service delivery and system integrity. Responsibilities: Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership and direction to the IT team, ensuring high performance and effective management of day-to-day operations. Oversee the IT Help Desk, ensuring timely resolution of issues with a focus on minimizing downtime and maximizing customer satisfaction. Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency. Lead the design, deployment, and management of new IT systems and services, ensuring they meet the company's evolving needs. Cybersecurity and Compliance: Implement and maintain robust network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware. Develop and execute cybersecurity training programs, fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization. Stakeholder Engagement and Vendor Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into IT solutions. Manage relationships with IT vendors, ensuring that service levels meet company standards and that technology investments deliver value. Project Management: Lead large-scale IT projects from conception to completion, including planning, budgeting, execution, and post-implementation review. Oversee the integration of business systems, coordinating with vendors to resolve application and infrastructure issues. Operational Excellence: Monitor and assess the performance of IT systems, making data-driven recommendations for improvements. Maintain and manage the company's phone system, security monitoring systems, and other critical technology assets. Position Qualifications: Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in IT operations, with a focus on user support, network administration, and systems analysis. Proficiency in managing network equipment, including routers, firewalls, access points, and switches. Leadership and Communication: Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing IT team, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and translate complex technical concepts into clear business terms. Project Management: Demonstrated success in leading large IT projects, with a track record of delivering on time and within budget. Experience with Epicor BisTrack or similar ERP systems is highly desirable. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience. A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in IT operations, including leadership roles. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and adapt to various environments, including production facilities.
