IT Analysts at Lutron participate within a cross-functional team to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative, high-quality solutions for the Web Team. There are a variety of technologies, standards, and practices within this role that you could encounter from day one, such as: The Drupal CMS platform, hosted on both the Acquia Cloud environment and Microsoft Azure. Automated testing products such as phpUnit, Behat, and Selenium, and monitoring products like New Relic. Performance standards for Web pages as outlined by well-known authorities such as the W3C and Google. UI and accessibility standards for Web pages, including WCAG. In-depth analysis of the components of Web pages, including: the Document Object Model; CSS; Javascript Frameworks like React or Backbone; visual elements such as images or videos; and the HTML language itself. Testing frameworks common to Lutron's software development process. Responsibilities Develop and implement test plans in accordance with Lutron IT standards. Develop and implement standards of measurement for Web page performance and usability. Coordinate testing of Web sites at multiple stages of the development process, including post-release. Coordinate periodic testing of Web sites and resources for performance and accessibility. Serve as liaison to the Lutron Quality organization on behalf of the Web Team. Collaborate with team members using strong written and verbal communication skills. Qualifications Bachelor's or Masters degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent degree in the IT field 5 years experience in a Web development or Web operations organization. Experience performing Website testing functional, UI/UX, performance Knowledge of relevant testing methods and tools Behat, Selenium Knowledge of Accessibility standards WCAG Knowledge of performance testing of Web pages Knowledge of Drupal and Acquia platforms helpful In-depth knowledge of HTML page composition DOM, HTML tags, CSS, Javascript, etc helpful Lutron Electronics' position as the worldwide leader in innovative lighting control and shading solutions has enabled consistent, annual growth.
