for our client, a leading

in the
paint
and
coatings industry . This role offers the opportunity to join a
Business Intelligence and Analytics
team dedicated to leveraging data, insights, and advanced analytics to drive strategic decision-making.Position Overview:The
BI Developer
will play a critical role in
transforming complex data
into
actionable insights , supporting a wide range of business operations. Working closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and IT teams, the BI Developer will
develop
and
maintain reports ,
dashboards , and
data visualizations
that drive our data-driven culture forward. While experience with any BI tool (such as
BusinessObjects ,
PowerBI ,
Tableau , etc.) is valuable, the ideal candidate must be willing to gain
proficiency
in
MicroStrategy , our primary BI platform.Key Responsibilities:Data Analysis and Reporting:
Develop, optimize, and maintain BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business decision-making. Use advanced BI tools to transform raw data into meaningful insights for departments across the organization.Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver high-impact BI solutions tailored to their needs.Tool Integration and Optimization:
Leverage current experience with BI tools (BO, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) while building a strong proficiency in MicroStrategy to develop effective reporting and analytics solutions within our BI ecosystem.Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Monitor the performance of BI solutions, identifying and addressing bottlenecks, data inaccuracies, or other issues that impact data accuracy or accessibility.Documentation and Training:
Document processes, data flows, and BI tool usage guidelines. Provide training to end-users on how to interact with and interpret BI reports and dashboards.Required Skills and Qualifications:Experience:
4-7+ years of experience as a BI Developer or in a related role, ideally within a large or global organization.Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business, or a related field.Technical Proficiency:
Experience with at least one BI tool, such as SAP BusinessObjects, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or similar.Database Knowledge:
Solid understanding of SQL and experience with data warehouses and relational databases.MicroStrategy Willingness:
Willingness and motivation to learn MicroStrategy as the primary BI tool in our environment; previous experience with MicroStrategy is a plus but not required.Data Visualization:
Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and design principles.Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to analyze complex data and reporting issues, with a focus on providing effective and scalable BI solutions.Communication Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.About EEG:
