Alumni Engagement The Alumni Engagement team is dedicated to understanding alumni, strengthening pride and awareness, and facilitating ways to grow and sustain the base of alumni engaging with and supporting Boston University. The team has oversight of alumni digital strategy, alumni experience operations, and measuring engagement-through both attitudinal and behavioral dimensions-of more than 350,000 alumni across the globe. Alumni Experiences Product Manager In your role as Alumni Experiences Product Manager, you occupy a unique position within the university, bridging traditional product management and customer experience roles. You oversee alumni experience product journeys from conception to launch while focusing on creating a cohesive and delightful customer experience across all touchpoints. Responsibilities: Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce Experience Cloud, event registration, and online giving products for Development & Alumni Relations. Be a key member of the project team during implementation, including product(s) design and optimization, user roles, design templates and page layouts, integrations, and reports and dashboards. Assist in managing projects timelines and deliverables, including setting up project tasks; assists with coordination of web assets (images, copy) and deliverables. Ensure that the visual design of alumni engagement and fundraising products support DAR's goals and is consistent with university brand guidelines. Provide hands-on, detailed coordination of a variety of digital development projects in support of engagement and fundraising, including enhancements to products; on-site testing, UX optimization, and web development for marketing campaigns. Plan ahead for upgrades, seasonal releases and long-term projects. Train new users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization. Qualifications: Required: 5 years of relevant experience. Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, advertising, computer science, media studies, CX/UX design, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience. Salesforce certifications strongly preferred. 2 to 3 years of experience managing online communities or social media, with strong understanding of community networks design, functionality, and strategy. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, and handle and prioritize simultaneous requests. Very high attention to detail. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze information, with an ability to communicate to business leaders. Preferred: Prior experience with Salesforce, including certifications. Fundraising and/or event management experience. Strong interpersonal skills. Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to critically evaluate and prioritize information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts. Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce and other integrated systems.
