This dual function has the responsibility to develop and maintain a PMO framework and integrate delivery of the organization's portfolio of projects, products, and structured work efforts ensuring all are manageable, consistent and aligned toward progressive achievement of overarching goals. The approximate percentage and general division of duties is shown in the following table: % Duties 25% Leadership Lead the adoption of program frameworks by setting the vision and providing direction and support as of value proposition of the enterprise operations team to the owned and franchised properties of KOA. Provides outstanding levels of internal and external customer service. Works with and supports other executives and leadership to help grow and develop project leadership and management skills/roles across the company. 50% Business Communications Possesses knowledge and ability to support and contribute to KOA's strategic and business planning, corporate governance and project management. Demonstrates comprehensive business understanding, leadership, and execution skills. Demonstrates outstanding verbal and written communications skills. 25% Continuous Improvement As a business partner, you will lead in definition and adoption of program, project and governance structures to facilitate the planning and execution of corporate projects. Acts as a catalyst and champion for change and continuous improvement that supports KOA Departments in achieving company mission and vision. SUPERVISORY DUTIES & RELATIONSHIPS This position may supervise others in the future SPECIFIC DUTIES Creation and Maturation Facilitates among the PMO stakeholders and organizational leadership a consensus around the mission and vision of the PMO organization to establish a program and project framework while building product and project-oriented capabilities aligned to value delivery. Engages senior leadership and business partners to define the PMO goals and operating model in the form of the PMO charter and mission statement. Methodology Competency Leads in the definition and implementation of program and project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines and standards to establish a stable framework that supports all project teams and stakeholders to improve the probability of successful project delivery. Develops and guides a disciplined PMO practice, putting in place the systems, processes and ways of working to sustain high performing teams. Facilitates the planning and prioritization of enterprise initiatives ensuring alignment across the organization. Defines, manages and directs the needed end-to-end PMO work effort, which includes leveraging best practices and techniques in identifying, quantifying and tracking the realization of expected benefits. Accountable for the consistency of KOA operating methodology and associated processes. Establishes and implements continuous improvement programs for the organization. Drives and facilitates effective collaboration and communications across the organization. Continuous Improvement Regularly reviews and evaluates opportunities to improve project management best practices to achieve higher maturity in project portfolio management (PPM). Evolve and continually improve the interdependencies between business models and operating practices, integrating waterfall, iterative, and agile delivery models into one, cohesive delivery strategy to best meet the evolving business needs. Engage the organization to ensure continual feedback and identify emerging methodology and alignment needs. Performance Assess enterprise or portfolio performance, using metrics and reporting. Supporting the organization's progression towards a value based operating model. Assures strategic alignment through prioritization, resource capacity management, key result tracking and program management to achieve strategic vision. Manages and optimizes the flow of value through the organization. Tracks and communicates key organization metrics. Escalates and tracks organization impediments, removing them where possible. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field with five or more years' experience in combined (waterfall and agile) required. Master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field with ten or more years' experience in combined (waterfall and agile) preferred. Certifications such as: (are preferred) Project Management Institute Certification (PMP, PgMP, PfMP, ACP, DAC, etc.) Prince2 Certification (Prince2 Practitioner or Prince2 Agile) Scrum Alliance (CAL, CSP, CSM, CSPO, or advanced certs) Scaled Agile Framework Certification (SAFe - SA or SAFe - SPC) Kanban (KCP, AKT, TKP, Kanban-EXP) Other Certifications: LeSS, PSM, PSPO, PAL Equivalent combination of education and experience. Leadership experience in, and knowledge of enterprise systems, preferably in hospitality. Work experience and proven track record in Business Planning, Board and other high-level communications, multiple project management, and direct and indirect staff/personnel development. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to travel periodically by air and auto. Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required. Requires use of hands for typing, handling paperwork, & other office functions such as copying, sorting, & filing. Requires long periods of sitting and viewing computer screens (85%).
