Senior Civil Estimator/Project Manager

The right candidate will have experience with civil infrastructure projects, and will ideally be versed in quantity take-offs, digitizing drawings, analyzing addendums, notifying the Vendors and Subcontractors of participation in a bid, preparing bid packages, interacting with trade subcontractors and suppliers, submitting RFI's, reviewing quotes, preparing detail scopes, and assessing cost effectiveness.Responsibilities:
Perform earthwork quantity takeoffPerform water, sewer, drain and other underground utility quantity takeoffPrepare and send requests for quotes to vendorsPrepare bid packages for subcontractorsReading and interpreting plans and specificationsKeep complete and up to date set of project documentsUnderstand the full scope of the projectDefine subcontractor scopeCreate vendor and subcontractor leveling sheetsPrepare and present takeoffs and subcontractor/vendor pricingPrepare complete site work estimates using software
Qualifications:
Associates or bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management3-5 years' experience in site work, exposure to underground utility estimating a plusSome CAD experience is requiredProficient in Microsoft OfficeGood communication skills
