Job Summary We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with over 15 years of experience in the DevOps field. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and security practices. This role requires hands-on technical expertise in tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitHub. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for creating operational plans, leading technical discussions, mentoring other engineers, and ensuring compliance with security requirements in hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. Key Responsibilities • Develop, build, test, and deploy DevOps tools for automatic application and infrastructure management within the Grid domain. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, application, cybersecurity, and infrastructure SMEs to implement CI/CD deployments. • Design and integrate existing tools, such as Remedy and Splunk, within the DevOps platform. • Gather and analyze requirements to develop test plans for solution validation. • Establish best practices and standards for the maintenance and operation of DevOps frameworks. • Train and mentor the team on DevOps best practices. • Support the onboarding and operations of applications utilizing the DevOps platform. • Develop and publish monthly metrics to measure DevOps platform improvements. • Ensure Nexus Repository Manager and Nexus IQ are used effectively for cybersecurity scanning. • Manage maintenance windows and communicate outages via JIRA and emails. • Test tool upgrades before implementation to minimize user impact. Required Qualifications • 15 years of experience in the DevOps field working with Unix, Linux, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and New Relic. • Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code. • Proficiency in automation, monitoring, incident management, and disaster recovery systems. • Strong knowledge of security best practices, vulnerability management, and compliance with state-level security standards. • Experience working in air-gapped, hybrid, and on-premise environments. • Administrative experience with Nexus, JIRA, Jenkins, and SonarQube. • Hands-on experience with GitHub, setting up actions, and creating CI/CD pipelines using Harness. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions. • Demonstrated ability to function as both a hands-on technical lead and mentor. • Expertise in classifying maintenance and project work, creating support models, and setting up SLAs and KPIs. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with JIRA Administration, onboarding users, and non-cloud-based management. • Familiarity with IBM OPTIM, Virtual Data Pipeline, Tosca, and Plutora testing tools. • Agile mindset and experience evolving DevOps platforms over time. Education: Bachelors Degree
