Location Description

Northfield, Minn. is home to two Post Consumer Brands manufacturing plants, the Campbell Mill and Ames Mill, two distribution centers, and more than 750 team members. The Campbell Mill plant is 1 million square feet and is home to 7 manufacturing technologies to produce a wide variety of cereal products our customers know and love. Northfield is a town steeped in history, featuring two colleges and the original Ames Mill where the Malt-O-Meal Company got its start.

Responsibilities

Post Consumer Brands has an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals, work well in a colaborative team setting, possessing skills performing mechanical taks utilizing basic hand tools, and strong attention to detail.

This full-time position is responsible for operating and monitoring the equipment on our processing production lines. Our processing team members are responsible for operating and monitoring the equipment where raw ingredients are baked, flaked, puffed, cooked, and made into cereal!

In this position you will ensure that the equipment is running correctly while adhering to quality and safety standards. We are currently looking to fill several positions at our Northfield Manufacturing Campus.

Work Schedule: *Day Shift* 12-hour shifts beginning at 4, 4:30, or 5 am (depending on business unit) following a 2-2-3 schedule (Week one: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on. Week two: 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off) resulting in built-in overtime pay and having every other weekend off-work.

Pay Rate: $25/hour

Job Activities & DutiesOperate and monitor all equipment in partnership with the processing team by following company procedures to ensure it is running correctlyUse basic hand tools to perform repairs and light maintenance on all related equipmentRecord production data required for measuring waste, downtime or production efficiency, or other pertinent data as requiredCommunicate with team members to stay up to date on important information, processes, issues, and concernsParticipate in safety training and strictly follow safety policies, rules, and proceduresOccasionally operate forklift to transport materials to designated area of production areaPerform quality checks on raw ingredients, intermediate and finished productsWork with dry/raw ingredients to create batches and vitamin/slurry mixtureUse high attention to detail when making batches to ensure food safety and limited product wasteStaying on top of batches and ordering ingredientsWorking with heavy equipment such as gun screw, dryer, ingredient mixer, airlocks, couplers, conveyors, blowers, etcWet washing/deep cleaning with appropriate cleaning solutionsAssist in troubleshooting equipment issues such as failing bearings, belts, motors, etcKeep work area clean and orderly, perform sanitation audits and develop action plans to correct problem areasPerform repairs and preventive maintenance on all related equipmentRecord production data required for measuring waste, downtime or production efficiencyQualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent
