The Clinical Account Executive (CAE) is a key interface with prospects and clients within ClearScript. The Clinical Account Executive is responsible for providing clinical expertise, consultative services and benefit design recommendations to plan sponsors.
Responsibilities Job Description
Role Expectations
Develops, prepares and presents a clinical business plan (e.g. formulary, utilization, and/or clinical management strategy) for each client.
Leads the presentation of clinical program solutions and formulary related programs to clients through consultative methods and processes (e.g. Client P&T presentations, quarterly/annual reviews, modeling/report reviews, etc.) in accordance with client business plans and in collaboration with account management team members.
Continuously reviews, forecasts and detects medication utilization issues in relationship with formulary and drug plan design analysis via data query or available report evaluation.
Consults with immediate co-workers, business division and organizational department staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues associated with the marketing/sales, client-upsell, financial underwriting, implementation, reporting, contracts, etc. of clinical programs and services in support of business division goals and objectives.
Effectively participates in and contributes to staff meetings, committees and departmental work groups.
Participates and contributes in formal and informal training programs and professional development activities.
Provides, as a partner to account management, a second resource for maintaining the relationship with the client.
Maintains a thorough understanding of ClearScript’s products and services and is able to articulate the financial and clinical value of services
Maintain consistent and regular client communications. Prepare and present regular client performance reviews, recommending cost savings opportunities, etc.
Document activities and communications with clients.
Organizational Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed

Excellent relationship building skills
Ability to analyze data, identify trends and develop recommendations for improvement.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to research and solve complex, multi-faceted problems.
Detail oriented with ability to break down projects into smaller tasks and follow up with involved parties.
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proven analytical skills
Ability to work independently.
Self-starter with excellent prioritization and time management skills.
Additional Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Proven leadership skills, team-orientation, a proactive management style and strong commitment to client service a must. Proficiency in using Microsoft applications preferred but not required. Proficient in the English language. Proficient math skills Ability to deal professionally, courteously and efficiently and to remain calm under stress. Proven ability to problem solve effectively.
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum Education
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy; Doctor of Pharmacy
Preferred Education
Master’s degree in business or other related subject.
Pharmacy residency.
Minimum License/Certification/Registration
Current pharmacist license with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy and in good standing.
Experience:
Minimum Experience
2-10 years general pharmacy experience and/or 2+ years managed care, or PBM-like focus in managed care, or PBM
