Job Title: Assembler II - CYCLONE

Job Description

The Assembler II for the Cyclone product line will be responsible for the detailed assembly of in-process units. This role involves electrical wiring, brazing, air compressor installation, silicone sealing, and foaming of the units. The cyclone units are double-doored, making the assembly process heavier and more intricate. The assembler will work with units on wheels, installing wire harnesses, connecting wires, using mallets, hand tools, rivet guns, and other power tools to install compressors. The foaming process involves connecting the unit to a machine and filling it with insulating foam. Additionally, the assembler will perform silicone installation using a caulk gun. This role requires readiness to perform labor-intensive tasks, including caulking and foaming as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical wiring, brazing, air compressor installation, silicone sealing, and foaming of units.

Install wire harnesses and connect wires according to diagrams.

Use mallets, hand tools, rivet guns, and other power tools to install compressors.

Perform foaming by connecting units to a machine and filling with insulating foam.

Conduct silicone installation using a caulk gun.

Ensure all tasks are performed safely and with high quality.

Essential Skills

Previous experience in a job that required standing for at least 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week.

Ability to repetitively lift 30-40lb parts, up to 50+ times per day.

Experience and proficiency using power tools and hand tools.

Must own steel-toed or composite-toed protective shoes.

Ability to work safely and maintain high quality standards.

Proven mechanical assembly experience.

Proven wiring experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with air compressors.

Experience with brazing.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a standard fabrication and assembly operation, divided into two areas: fabrication and assembly. The fabrication area includes a laser cutting machine, deburring and brazing stations, and workstations for basic hand tool work. The assembly area is organized but somewhat cramped. Units move on carts from area to area during assembly. The facility is temperature-controlled, but employees may still feel warm due to wearing arm sleeves. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, protective cut sleeves, cut gloves, and pants made of cotton, canvas, or denim. No sweats, spandex, or nylon are allowed, and hoods cannot be worn over the head. Shift hours are as follows: 1st shift: 6am-4:30pm with mandatory overtime on Fridays, and 2nd shift: 4:30pm-3am with mandatory overtime on Fridays.
