Summary: Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, Caribbean and North America , the Associate Director - Compliance will be primarily focused on their role as Compliance Officer / AML adviser for the Waystone Administration Solutions business in north America. In addition, they will provide support to the compliance function in devising suitable Compliance Monitoring plans and board reporting for the business. The successful candidate will also participate in regional and global projects / assignments within the Compliance function.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As the subject matter expert for Investor AML for the relevant jurisdictions supported by Waystone Administration Solutions US , keep abreast of regulatory developments to advise the business on its compliance, obligations and best practices that might impact existing policies and practices Design and maintain appropriate compliance policies, leveraging the Group Policies, and work with all levels of management to ensure that appropriate processes and controls are established and documented, recommending changes where appropriate Support the Chief Compliance Officer in creating and/or delivering appropriate compliance training to employees within the jurisdiction and maintain records of same Design an appropriate Compliance Monitoring Programme tailored to the business, Leveraging the Compliance Regulatory Focus Assessment techniques as deployed in regulated businesses elsewhere in the group. Perform ongoing compliance monitoring, reviews and assessments locally and engage with the group Compliance team in this regard, where appropriate Plan and deliver all required internal compliance reporting to group compliance, senior management, and the board of directors Adhere to all current Waystone policies and procedures as set out in the Employee Handbook and Group Code of Ethics Promote a culture of compliance, governance and ethical behaviour Attend client and other external stakeholder meetings as Compliance representative for the business and contribute to all due diligence reviews in respect of any compliance matters Perform and be registered for such officer roles as may be required by the business, such as AML Officer and/or MLRO to oversee compliance with Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) requirements Act as a central point of contact with relevant regulators / external investigations / data requests Represent the compliance function on external and internal working groups and committees in relation to Group projects, where required REQUIREMENTS

Experience:
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to the funds sector & firm, in particular AML/CFT A minimum of 6 years' experience in a fund administration services and/or compliance context Experience in designing and delivering compliance policies procedures and monitoring programs Experience in the role of compliance officer or equivalent (e.g. AMLCO / MLRO /DMLRO) Education:
Specific compliance/AML related qualification University degree - Business / Law / Governance an advantage
