We are seeking an Assembly Technician who is a skilled individual with the ability to follow electrical technicians and production documentation to assemble, troubleshoot, and repair multiple production components that support Virtual Reality. This role will perform manual assembly for opto-electro-mechanical small assemblies with small equipment, fixture, and test equipment assistance.
Responsibilities
Follow sketch assembly instructions, processes, and procedures
Perform simple and complex optical bonding operations
Program, test, and troubleshoot various system components
Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to the Production Manager
Essential Skills
Experience with crimping and soldering under a microscope
Experience in mechanical/electrical assembly
Experience with schematics
Experience with lab tools, mechanical assembly, crimping, harness, and soldering
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1-5 years of experience as a Technician
Experience using small hand tools
Experience with small optical, electronic, or mechanical components (working through a microscope)
Ability to follow production drawings, sample assemblies, or procedures
Ability to position and align parts (including optical components) in specified relationships in a fixture or by hand
Work Environment
This role is 100% onsite, supporting upcoming projects in 2025 with potential for extension or permanent placement after June, depending on skills and scope of work. You will be part of a small team of under 10 engineers/technicians. We offer a small company culture with no micromanagement and a family environment. Enjoy catered lunch on the first Friday of every month and flexible hours after completing training.
