Job Title: Maximo Solution Architect

Job Description: The Maximo Solution Architect will provide overall design guidelines for software and hardware integration, performance, reliability, operating, and security designs, support business units, IT Business Analysts, and Enterprise Architects in the creation of project business cases.

Key Responsibilities:

Capture business capability requirements, functional requirements, and expected service levels from business unit and stated EA solutions to create an actionable Business-IT roadmap (a long range plan for the business

Work with business and IT teams to review test strategies and requirements traceability. Ensure business and functional requirements are maintained throughout the development/configuration process (requirements traceability matrix). Review and analyze user acceptance testing results to validate the functions of the delivered solution.

Maintain strong understanding of technology needs and solutions for the business unit. Regularly visit business units to assess satisfaction and identify follow-up education opportunities. Consider alternate delivery models for meeting business needs.

Liaise between the client, vendors, project management and the technical team on questions, issues, and revisions to the solution architecture.

Advance how IT technologies integrate and interface with Entergy’s vision and translate system requirements into software architecture and design specifications.

Provide support for storms and be available 24x7 to oversee storm applications during weather events.

Work directly with stakeholders in a global capacity and must be able to communicate effectively via phone and web conferencing.

Lead efforts to identify and deliver Maximo Asset Management solutions

Work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements

Participate in all stages of software implementation or upgrade

Ensure adherence to industry best practices and continuous improvement

Communicate effectively with global teams via phone and web conferencing

Mentor junior team members on Maximo developers.

Identify specific IT investments in applications and infrastructure to support business objectives).

Support Business Unit leadership in identifying opportunities for emerging technologies, through collaboration with the Account team to enable business strategies.

Provide an advisory role with the client on the impact of new technologies on their existing technical and information system environment.

Qualifications:

10 years of experience in platform architecture, solution design, project envisioning, planning, developing, deployment, security, identity management frameworks, cloud, and scalability

Experience with Oracle; Microsoft SQL, PL/SQL; and/or other RDBMS and Windows, Linux, and/or other server environments

Programming and scripting experience with Python, JavaScript, and/or HTML5 (modern web frameworks)

Java, Python/Jython, Oracle SQL, shell scripting, Webservices, Power BI, and/or SharePoint experience

Stored procedures development, SQL, Oracle, Linux, analytical, communications, and /or relational database experience

Agile, DevOps, and/or continuous improvement deployment experience

Proven experience in Utilities (preferred)

Experience with Asset Management Systems - IBM Maximo Asset Management 7.5 (or comparable) Certified is a plus

Experience with Work Management solutions

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Bachelor’s degree or higher in related fields

At least 6 years of relevant experience in Maximo Development

Proven experience in leading projects and mentoring team members

Deep understanding and practical experience of industry application solutions.

Wide experience in developing customer-centric solutions.

Working knowledge in all areas of technology (infrastructure, commercial applications, software development, end-user platforms, IT operations).

Planning experience, especially the design of long-term strategies.

Communicate and present effectively with all levels in the organization, including executive management. Excellent interpersonal communications skills.

Excellent writing and presentation skills.

Working knowledge of architecture concepts and the ability to integrate business needs and technology capabilities.

Knowledge of integration of other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, Outage Management, GIS)
