About the Job:
The Director of Technology Operations oversees the development, maintenance, and support of technology for over 7,000 Taco Bell restaurants in the US. They lead a team of over 150 technology professionals to ensure all business technology needs are met. With this role, the opportunities are endless and involves collaborating with sister brands to improve technology operations, seeking strategic opportunities for synergy and efficiency. The Director drives an integrated technology strategy to enhance competitive edge and growth. They build cohesive teams with internal and external partners, are passionate about people, technology, and program management, and inspire and lead teams to achieve great results. They are innovative problem solvers who drive conversations toward productive solutions and work closely with various stakeholders to deliver programs. They will lead their teams consisting of the Service Desk, Networking Engineering, Reliability services, restaurant deployment, and restaurant incident management to deliver on key technology and business initiatives.
The Day-to-Day:Drive strategies to enhance product observability, audit processes, and drive proactive monitoring and alerts. Lead the team to reduce restaurant issues and escalations by collaborating with product and engineering leaders.Ensure efficient, effective, and secure technology operations by streamlining processes and automating tasks.Provide oversight on Restaurant Support Service Franchise Fund and technology budget. Oversee budgets and resources for reliability services team.Collaborate with sister brands globally to identify opportunities for synergy and efficiency in Technology Operations practice, process and systems.Drive long-term growth with an integrated technology strategy focused on continuous improvement and stabilityAdvise senior leaders on technology platform performance and develop action plans based on data trends.Lead vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with technology suppliers.Manage a team of over 150 people, focusing on hiring and growing diverse talent across Service Desk, Networking Engineering, Reliability engineering/support, restaurant deployment, and restaurant incident management.Lead partnerships with technical functions across Yum! and Taco Bell company to ensure organizational alignment on priorities for the technology operations functionIs This You?
BA/BS and advanced degree required, particularly an MBA, is highly desirable and strongly recommendedMinimum 12 years of experience in senior technology leadership positions with experience leading and managing large transformational technology programs and projects; minimum 5 years leading large teamsFoundational knowledge and practical experience with ITIL frameworks is requiredStrong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate teams of technology professionals.Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersExperience with regulatory compliance and industry standards for technology infrastructureKnowledge of emerging technologies and trends in technology operationsExperience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contractsExperience developing and managing budgetsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentExperience with disaster recovery and business continuity planningExperience in Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), retail, and/or multi-unit chain/franchise environment a plusWork-Hard, Play-Hard:
