Summary:
Leads and executes daily activities related to all inventory management under the direction of Procurement & Logistics Department management. Interacts professionally with stakeholder and higher-level management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Inventory Management Responsibilities:
Supervises agreement warehouse staff day-to-day activities of material management.
Ensures all inventory transactions are complete, and monitors, analyzes and takes corrective actions where appropriate. Maintains and assures adequate materials supply for running repairs and equipment at all locations including outlying facilities and garages.
Ensures material availability to all user groups and collaborates with necessary personnel to reduce or eliminate stock outs and out-of-service equipment.
Responsible for tracking, tagging, and overseeing the receipting, storage, and issue of Capital Spares campaign parts.
Works closely with Planning and Procurement to resolve vendor-related problems about timing, quality, quantity, and delivery.
Collaborates with Operations staff to plan and execute routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, overhaul campaigns and other special projects.
Schedules and routing for the management of repair and returns to vendors. Monitors and assists in the core tracking procedure.
Issues emergency orders for material, repair and return orders and warranty repairs.
Assists internal staff and third-party consultants in the execution of material audits.
Conducts daily safety briefings, monthly safety meetings, and ensures a hazard-free workplace by enforcing safety and environmental programs and procedures.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Identifies, distributes, and balances the team’s workloads and tasks in accordance with established workflow policies and procedures, skill levels and/or specializations.
Reviews, corrects, and provides feedback on the work of the team or work performed under direction.
Responsible for administering and adhering to labor agreements and implementing effective discipline and grievance procedures.
Systems of Record Responsibilities:
Performs all duties within the currently approved systems of record and properly maintains documents in conformance with document control policies.
Training Responsibilities:
Trains, coaches and directs peers as needed to accomplish desired department objectives.
Remain current on all required training.
Create a development plan for your career.
Other Responsibilities:
Plans, tracks, reports on work activities with the end result being professional, transparent, efficient execution of duties.
Provides both proactive and prompt responsive customer service to client departments.
Performs other duties as assigned by Procurement & Logistics Leadership.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
The degree(s) must be in Business, Public Administration, Engineering, Economics, IT or related degree area.
Knowledge and Skills:
Technology:
Must be able to work proficiently in the following Systems of Record: ECMS, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Access Databases, Excel Spreadsheets, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Teams), Adobe, Oracle ERP, and other systems in use or under development. Systems may change over time.
Communication:
Must be able to understand active listening and have excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Leadership:
Must be able to professionally interact with and manage other professionals and agreement personnel.
Understanding of union agreements and managing agreement personnel
Material Management:
Must be able to adhere to KPIs.
Must be able to identify and understand trends in data and adjust actions accordingly.
Must understand the technical requirements of buses, trains, and their parts.
Must be proficient in perpetual inventory system.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must have a valid driver license.
