Job Description
In this role, you will be working in the Specialties area where two types of mixes are created: a powder substance and a wet mixture substance. Large super sacs will be filled with these substances are then shipped to other buildings on-site.ResponsibilitiesOperate machinery with setup and basic troubleshooting - not just button pushingSet up machinery and adjust dials as necessaryUse a computer interface for basic Excel functions like high/low values, special tests, and keying input numbersMaintain a clean work areaUtilize a forklift to retrieve material or move pallets/sacsLift and move material up to 75 poundsEssential SkillsPrevious machine operating experienceAbility to use a computer interface and familiarity with Excel for basic functionsSit-down forklift experienceBasic math skillsMechanical aptitude for inspection and troubleshootingAwareness around safetyAdditional Skills & QualificationsForklift certificationExperience in a manufacturing environmentPhysical fitness for lifting and moving materialsWork Environment
Shifts: 1st: 7AM-3PM, 2nd: 3PM-11PM, 3rd: 11PM-7AM. Sunday night is when 3rd shift starts. Training will be on the 1st shift for about 8 weeks. The work environment is loud, dirty, and dusty. Dress code includes long pants and t-shirts, with uniforms provided, but employees can wear their own attire if they prefer.
