The Enterprise Specialty Educator is a registered professional nurse who demonstrates specialty expertise in clinical nursing and a passion for ongoing support and development for CommonSpirit clinical associates. The Enterprise Specialty Educator assumes accountability and responsibility for provision of professional development to positively influence the quality and cost effectiveness of patient care in the area of their specialty.
Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a program of education for their specialty. Programming includes coordination of orientation with facility departments in specialty area, ongoing staff competency as well as continued education at the unit and/or facility level as identified by needs assessments, audits, data informed decision making and regulatory requirement initiatives. Appliesp olicies, procedures, standards, and regulations as appropriate to their populations. The scope of the education will be determined through collaborative practice with Enterprise Clinical Specialists, Facilitybased educators, and providers to enhance the quality and cost effectiveness of patient care. Works closely with the Enterprise Clinical Specialist to align with annual specialty education initiatives, specialty orientation and other enterprise initiatives. May be required to deploy to sites based on initiatives or programs as needed.
This position reports centrally at the enterprise level.
Qualifications:
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Three years of experience in nursing is required.
Two years clinical nursing experience in designated specialty area is required.
BSN required
Master's Degree preferred
CO RN or Compact RN license to practice in CO
Nursing Specialty Certification-required to sit within 6 months; achieve within 1 year of hire or transfer to role.
Physical Requirements - Sedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs. force occasionally
