Petaluma Health Center is now accepting applications for recent NP or PA grads to join our Residency Program!Areas of Responsibility:
Provide direct clinical care to patients at the health center in a full family practice scopeWork with mentoring staff to increase skills in clinical care, use of tools for decision supportAttend didactic sessions to increase knowledge of clinical areas, FQHC organizational skills, leadership, EMR trainingCollaborate effectively with clinical team members in preventive care, treatment of acute and chronic illnessSeek consultation as described in NP/PA protocolSummary:
The twelve-month position prepares the NP/PA Resident to perform the duties of a primary care provider in a Federally Qualified Health Center with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention through patient education and counseling. Residents are prepared to perform in an expanded role in the delivery of primary health care by receiving mentoring and a didactic program to increase clinical skills.
Education/Experience
Graduation within the last 18 months from an accredited NP or PA programLicenses and Certifications:
Must be able to obtain a State of California NP or PA license and NPI number within 2 months of hireCandidate must be able to successfully meet PHC's credentialing and privileging requirementsLanguage Skills : Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions and requests from patients, co-workers, and others as necessary.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and verbal highly preferred.
