We are looking for a Digital Solution Area Specialist – Security Sales to join our Digital Enterprise Sales (DES) organization. Digital Enterprise Sales (DES), as part of Microsoft’s Global Enterprise Sales organization, empowers our customers through the unique value of the Microsoft Cloud by building a globally led, digital-first scale organization aligned with partners. As a Digital Solution Area Specialist, specializing in Security solutions, you will work with our most important customers within our enterprise organization. You will drive the day-to-day execution of Microsoft's strategic business priorities – selling best-in-class cloud services and platforms to our managed customers and building digital transformation momentum for our customers, partners, and Microsoft.

In this role, you may be located in Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX, or Fargo, ND. Relocation assistance is not available for this role. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Responsibilities

You will work with customers to identify their cybersecurity needs and recommend suitable Microsoft solutions.

You’ll collaborate with various customer groups to enhance their security through digital transformation strategies. Leading customer conversations, you’ll coordinate with internal teams and partners to maximize security opportunities.

You will lead and plan for named accounts in the assigned territory, proactively builds an external stakeholder mapping to accelerate the closing of deals. Perform business analysis to pursue high-potential customers and manage the end-to-end Security business across the assigned territory by driving consumption and licensing transactions to grow business within assigned territory.

You will collaborate on the planning, orchestration, and execution on Security opportunities with virtual teams made up of internal stakeholders and partners to cross-sell and up-sell.

Initiate and lead Security conversations, shares best practices, key competitor knowledge and customer insights across solution areas to elevate team capabilities and make recommendations on pursuit or withdrawal.

You will drive new sales and new customer engagements using innovative approaches, leveraging digital signals, partnership events, social selling (LinkedIn) and networking opportunities.

You will complete required training and obtain relevant security expertise and certifications aligned to the role.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

4+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience

OR Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 3+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of technology-related, security-related sales or account management experience

OR Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 4+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.

2+ years of solution sales or consulting services sales experience

Domain experience in Microsoft Security and/or Compliance products.

One or more of the following certifications is a plus: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Security Certification SC-500, Azure Certification AZ-900

Technical understanding of cloud security technologies - Threat protection (Endpoint security, E-mail security, Incident Response, etc.), Kill Chain, Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP), Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM), Multi-Cloud Security, Identity and Access management

Familiarity with Microsoft security solutions and AI-based security offerings such as Security Copilot, Microsoft 365 Defender, Defender for Cloud, XDR, and Sentinel, or related technologies like Prisma Cloud, Crowdstrike, Proofpoint, and Splunk is a plus.

Digital Solution Area Specialists IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $29.62 - $64.23 per hour. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $48.37 - $69.18 per hour.
