Position Opening: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Bush & Bush Law GroupBush & Bush Law Group is in search of a highly skilled and disciplined Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations in a fully remote capacity. This strategic role is pivotal in our firm’s ongoing transformation, with a core focus on rigorous cost management, waste reduction, and organizational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a structured and professional approach to finance leadership, using proven behavioral economics strategies to enhance fiscal responsibility and drive sustainable growth across the firm.Primary Objectives:
The CFO will play a critical role in establishing and enforcing strict financial standards and operating procedures. This leader will build a remote finance team that operates with precision, oversight, and accountability, ensuring every dollar is managed effectively. A high level of organization, along with the ability to delegate tasks and instill discipline across the team, is essential to success in this role.Key Responsibilities:Cost Management and Waste Reduction : Lead firm-wide cost-saving initiatives, applying behavioral economics to optimize resource allocation and financial decision-making.Remote Team Leadership : Assemble and manage a high-performing finance team, with a focus on strict time-card oversight, productivity tracking, and comprehensive financial compliance across remote staff.Financial Settlements and Compliance : Oversee client financial settlements, ensuring prompt and accurate distributions and compliance with legal and contractual requirements.Development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) : Establish and implement rigorous SOPs to standardize financial processes, increase accountability, and support continuous improvement in efficiency and compliance.KPI Monitoring and Performance Tracking : Define, track, and achieve critical financial KPIs, focusing on reconciliation accuracy, budget adherence, and cost-effectiveness.Global Resource Optimization : Build and manage a financially optimized team, leveraging overseas staff to drive cost savings and operational efficiency.Qualifications:Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
with a strong background in accounting and finance.Minimum
10 years of senior finance experience , with a record of implementing cost-reduction initiatives and optimizing financial operations.Advanced expertise in
data-driven decision-making ; a background in
statistics, mathematics, or behavioral economics
is highly advantageous.Demonstrated experience in
developing SOPs, managing audits, and ensuring compliance .Prior experience in a law firm setting is preferred but not required.Ideal Candidate Profile:
