Organization Overview:
The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. Position Summary:
The Grants Supervisor will oversee all grants/funding contracts and supervise all grants accountants with the support of the Controller.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Salary Range:
$130,000- $145,000
Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate's number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.
Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties
Tracks and monitors all grant status (billing and collection, budget modifications, amendments, renewal etc.)Collaborate with Director of Contract Compliance and Quality Assurance on the status of all contract fundingCollaborate with the Director of External Affairs related to the status of Discretionary fundingSupervise all program accountants, review their work for accuracyMeet with the programs monthly and quarterly or more, as needed, with the support of the Controller to review where programs are in terms of their spending and billing against their budgetsWorks with the Controller and CFO on annual internal budget processPrepare and submit CFRSupervises the recording of all electronic payments for the grants in the assigned portfolioMonitor, input, review all grant data in the required City/State/Federal portal and systemServe as a liaison with principals and other departments on issues regarding grants.Ensure grant accountants provide financial projections by coordinating budget/forecast preparation; collecting, analyzing information; advising departments on the collection and analysis of dataEnsure program accountants work proactively with program staff to understand needs and changes in the program's operations, and initiate all budget modifications based on that discussionReview journal entries and account analysis for assigned contracts as part of the monthly financial closeConduct periodic meetings with department heads to review budgets, year to date expenses, projections and other program mattersCoordinate grant compliance and reporting responsibilities with Finance, Human Resources and Programs including program outcome data and fiscal reportsPrepare and maintain various tracking schedules such as billing, budget registration, receivables and others as needed by upper managementAssist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, including cash flow projectionsServe as a key point of contact with funders, and develop and coordinate all requests in a timely mannerAssist in the development of responses to RFP submissions including budget and budget narrative preparationEnsure compliance with the rules and regulations administered by the grantor, assists in all audits, including the preparation of all required schedulesParticipate as Finance Staff Member by attending staff meetings and training programs; collaborate on tasks and make suggestions for improvementOversee proper cost segregation and allocation of costEnsure compliance with the Uniform GuidancePerform other duties as requiredQualifications/Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree preferred, or 5 years' experience in supervision.Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in related fieldKnowledge of accounting and financial reportingKnowledge of grant processing including federal, state and local government laws and regulations regarding grant administration including the Uniform GuidanceWorking knowledge of government contracts.Other Abilities
