Your Impact: Our ideal candidate is passionate about crafting a new product to serve thousands of enterprise customers by using innovative technology and aiming for the best quality and throughput. As part of this role, you will: Architect, design, implement, test and deliver highly scalable enterprise grade digital engagement platform from the ground up. Master our development process, culture and code base, then improve it. Operate optimally in the hybrid engineering model where engineers are encouraged to be able to craft and complete the vital work to ensure quality in their own code as well as other engineers. Mentor others in development technologies, tools, and processes. Present your own designs to internal/external groups and review designs of others. Develop test strategies, design automation frameworks, write unit/functional tests to drive up code coverage and automation metrics. Participate in the team's on-call rotation to address sophisticated problems in real-time and keep services operational and highly available. Required Skills: 5+ years of professional software development experience in implementing and operating enterprise software stack at scale. Deep domain knowledge of OSI level 3-5 is required. Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, Javascript, C++, C#, Ruby, Python). Deep domain knowledge with WebRTC, SIP, and other telephony layer protocols and technology. Proficiency in build/deployment pipeline and infrastructure as code framework such as terraform. Proven understanding in at least one high-level programming language and web framework (NodeJS, Express, Hapi, etc.). Proven understanding of web technologies, such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON, and/or Ajax. Validated understanding of Database technologies such as SQL, PL/SQL and relational database schema design. Experience in automated testing including unit and functional testing using Java, JUnit, JSUnit, Selenium. A related technical degree required. Preferred Skills: Experience building highly scalable enterprise telephony systems in the past. Experience with Agile software development and test-driven development. Track record of being a top performer in current and past roles. BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field. For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $165,600 to $372,900. For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $151,800 to $341,900. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $165,600 to $372,900. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
