I'm partnered with the Owner at a national, $100M manufacturing and distribution company located near Aurora, IL. My client is a market leader in their space and they are looking to bring on a Controller to work directly with the Owner
Reporting directly to the Owner and COO, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing the organizations Accounting & Finance functions, while taking on the management of 3 individuals. This individual will also have the opportunity to spearhead the implementation of a new ERP system.
Job Description
Manage and oversee the company's accounting operations.Supervise financial activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and compliance to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Oversee the preparation of periodic financial reports, ensuring they comply with generally accepted accounting principles.Support the company's overall growth strategy.Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement controls to minimize risk in accounting transactions.Manage inventory and purchase forecasts.Oversee cash flow management.Administer ERP and related IT systems.Coordinate with external auditors and supply necessary information for the annual audit.Manage the bank line of credit, including preparing periodic borrowing base reports.Ensure compliance with bank and other financial partner requirements.File quarterly and annual taxes.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Perform other related duties as assigned.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldExperience in Accounting and FinanceSupervisory/Management experienceExperience in the manufacturing or distribution sector a plusExperience with Inventory AccountingProficient in Microsoft ExcelExcellent written and verbal communications skillsStrong time management and organizational skillsERP implementation experience a plusWhat's on Offer
