Job Title: Internship Coordinator
Position Overview:Reporting to the Learning & Development Director the Internship Coordinator will oversee the coordination and administration of all activities related to the company's internship program. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving the internship experience for both interns and the organization. The coordinator will collaborate with department heads, educational institutions, and interns to ensure that the program aligns with the company's goals and provides a meaningful learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Internship Program Management:
Design, implement, and manage the full cycle of the internship program, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.Develop relationships with universities, colleges, and other educational institutions to source top intern candidates.Collaborate with department leaders to identify internship needs and ensure interns are assigned meaningful tasks and projects.Coordinate intern schedules, monitor intern performance, and conduct regular check-ins and evaluations.
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Work closely with HR, Recruitment, and department heads to recruit high-potential candidates for internships.Plan and participate in campus recruiting events, career fairs, and networking events to promote internship opportunities.Coordinate and conduct intern interviews, and support in the selection process.Develop and execute internship orientation programs to ensure interns have the necessary resources and knowledge to succeed.
Mentorship and Development:
Ensure that each intern is assigned a mentor to provide guidance and support throughout their internship.Organize professional development opportunities such as workshops, seminars, and team-building activities for interns.Create and maintain regular feedback mechanisms for both interns and their supervisors.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure that the internship program complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.Track and report on internship metrics (e.g., intern satisfaction, conversion rates, and overall program effectiveness).Maintain accurate intern records, including attendance, evaluations, and feedback.
Program Improvement:
Gather feedback from interns and supervisors to continuously improve the internship program.Propose new initiatives to enhance the intern experience and align it with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.2+ years of experience in program coordination, HR, or recruitment, with a focus on internships or student development preferred.Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.Ability to build strong relationships with educational institutions and internal stakeholders.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR-related software (e.g., ATS, HRIS).Preferred Skills:
Experience working with interns, students, or in educational settings.Knowledge of internship program regulations and best practices.Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure program success.Work Environment:
This role will require interaction with both internal teams and external institutions, and some travel may be required to attend recruiting events or campus visits.Flexible working arrangements may be available.Physical Requirements:
