Position: Senior Fixed Assets Accountant
Overview:
The Senior Fixed Assets Accountant plays a key role in managing daily accounting functions for development projects and capital expenditures, while also supporting the accounting for real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and other specialized areas. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills to enhance processes and deliverables for stakeholders. Oversee daily accounting tasks related to development projects and capital expenditures.Collaborate with the Fixed Assets Staff Accountant to foster a supportive team environment.Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards and internal controls in all accounting practices.Assist the Fixed Assets Accounting Manager by researching and applying accounting standards for policy updates and procedural changes.Present financial results, trends, and analyses to internal stakeholders, including Construction and Facilities teams.Support the accounting processes for real estate acquisitions and dispositions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Construction, Facilities, Treasury, Finance, and IT, to improve processes, resolve issues, and enhance efficiency.Contribute to ERP financial system transformation projects and other special initiatives led by the Fixed Assets Accounting Manager.Gather data to support the Financial Reporting team in preparing information for Form 10-Q and 10-K SEC filings as needed.Prepare capital expenditure, depreciation, overhead allocations, and financial results data for the annual budgeting process.Engage in continuous improvement efforts, seeking opportunities for automation and increased efficiency.Qualifications of the Senior Fixed Assets Accountant:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; advanced degree preferred.CPA certification is preferred.Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Knowledgeable in GAAP regulations and SOX frameworks.Extensive experience with ERP systems (Oracle and/or SAP) and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI) is a plus.#LI-MG9#LI-HybridId: EB-1027091826
