SAIC is seeking a Systems Administrator in Chicago to support the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) on the Revolutionary IT Services (RITS) program.
NOTE: Must be willing to travel when necessary and willing to work Monday through Friday; 8-hour shift between 6AM and 6PM local time; after hours support may be required on an infrequent basis
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for coordination and management of district support personnel including PC Support Technicians and System Administrators
Oversee and ensure the day-to-day operational maintenance and support of systems and direct team
Coordinate and interact with government liaisons and senior leadership
Primary POC for local server, network and telecom repair of District infrastructure components
Manage and maintain currently supported and subsequent Microsoft (MS) Windows Server Operating Systems (OS) on physical and virtual operating environments
Assist with hardware and software technology refreshes, ensuring milestone compliance while coordinating with application owners to minimize disruptions
Assist in storage and data management, specifically file and folder permissions
Apply DISA (Defense Information Systems Agency) STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guide) and resolve security vulnerabilities
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors and two (2) years or more of relevant experience; experience accepted in lieu of degree
Experience in a managerial role with frequent interaction with senior level leadership
Must be willing to travel when necessary
Must be willing to work Monday through Friday; 8-hour shift between 6AM and 6PM local time; after hours support may be required on an infrequent basis
Experience using ServiceNow, Remedy or a similar ticketing system.
Experience managing standing up and troubleshooting Windows Server Operating Systems in virtual and physical environments (i.e. VMware or HyperVisor)
Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory networks and associated services (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Distributed File System, etc.)
Experience working with file and data permissions on network-hosted file shares and storage (i.e. NetApp, New Technology File System (NTFS), etc.)
Must have basic understanding of Microsoft Exchange mailboxes
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
Must have a current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level II (example: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CYSA+, etc)
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
Must be a current US Citizen
Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
